Featured Books

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a Book Worm.

This is a joy and a concern these days. My list of books to read and review has gotten to be, in my opinion, a bit too large. I have been very honest with my timelines when accepting books to review but lately I feel a bit behind. In an effort to give these books attention they deserve, I have decided to showcase these books in a Featured Post. They will not be reviewed by me because I have not read them fully. I will simply share with you all what they are about, why I was interested in reading them and if possible, links to other reviews.

My goal this fall is to simplify my reading and focus on reading what's on my shelves and completing challenges, mainly my very own A-Z Mystery Challenge. I am horribly behind on that! (Bad Michelle, BAD!) It is getting close to the season I love the most and I really want to hunker down and read some gothic scary novels and creepy mystery/thrillers.

I hope you will all stop by and check out my Featured Posts.

Thanks for being such great readers and supporters of my blog, as I tweak here and there.

Happy Reading and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Great idea. I am horribly behind. I don't know what I'm going to do. I love how transparent you are.

I only have three review books in Oct., one is a picture book. I'm taking next month to get caught up on the reading I want to do. Lots of mystery and horror.

I know the feeling.

I stopped accepting books a while back because it just became too much.

Good luck finding your balance doll.

This is a great idea! I'm down to just six review books and not accepting anymore, so I've hunkered down and am only reading those so I can read what I want starting in about six weeks. I'm looking forward to that time very much.

Sounds like a good plan! I know what you mean on the to read lists and review lists, etc. I'm realistic on my time frames as well and right now, I'm sitting at about January. Yep...2012 is already getting a title or two. O-O Good thing I love books!

I haven't accepted recently because I want to read more of what I love, I am slightly behind on my netgalley's but that is also my choice to request, sigh.

Definitely get back to your challenge. You should have only did one part of the alphabet, I have 2 more for this year A and I.

I look forward to your featured posts.

I just read a great gothic, creepy mystery.

I think this is a great idea. I think I'd like to do it too (if you don't mind). I have so many fantastic books that I'm not going to get to soon.

I am an avid reader, am caught in the bad jobs economy (laid off due to cutbacks) and would like to know how to become a book reviewer. I have the time, and it seems like I've been practicing forever :D Any help or advice would be appreciated. My email is ginabgood1@yahoo.com and I normally read 2-3 books per week. I have to do this anonymously for now until I set up accounts with the places noted below. Thanks! Gina

I bought tons of books when Border's went out of business in our area and before that when a Waldenbooks went out of business and they are mostly still on my shelf. They aren't review books, but I keep picturing them every time I think about buying a new book. There are just too many good books out there!
